The story of our beautiful dress and training top design. I started the Netball is Life program to support underprivileged girls to play netball. Our EAGLES squad was formed from girls who have supported this cause since I started it nearly two years ago. Netball is Life funded half the artist’s costs for the Casey Demons VNL NAIDOC dress and we were allowed to use the design as the base for our EAGLES dress. We would like to give our gratitude and appreciation to renowned Aboriginal artist Koorrin Edwards who created this design for Casey Netballers.

Design meaning:

Eagle - Represents our creator spirit and the spirit watching and protecting over us. The symbols and designs are a depiction of the strength, unity, coming together and belonging

3 circles and symbols - represents the gathering spaces, the players and spaces that hold significance of where we all come together.

Netball court - is to pay homage to the club. Its ability to be inclusive, safe and why we play the beautiful sport of netball.

The circles in the back ground- is to represent gathering and community, that the club is able to come together as a collective.

The blue lines and white symbols around the 3 circles - represents that strength of the club, the strength of the women and how they come together and the cultural diversity of the club. The blue lines represents each players journey in their netball career.

The small white dots- are a representation of all of the community and volunteers that are an important part of the club.
